Interested in the opportunity of a lifetime? Global Works is welcoming experienced, responsible, and energetic leaders for 2010.
Global Works staff positions offer salary, living expenses during a program, and airfare to and from the country of the program being served. The dates of employment include a training session over the Memorial Day weekend in May and service throughout the duration of the program, (usually one month between late June and early August).
Staff should have the following qualifications before applying:
Candidates must be over the age of 23.
Candidates must have experience traveling and working with high school age students.
Language Immersion and Language Exposure programs require a high degree of Spanish or French proficiency as staff will be required to instruct students or navigate with the group in the target language.
Hiring for specific countries is determined by available openings (due to number of returning staff) and qualifications.
Note: Due to a high veteran staff return rate and the fact that we have fewer offerings on our Cultural Exchange programs (New Zealand, Fiji, and Ireland), these staff positions are highly competitive. Applicants for these positions should have additional qualifications in two or more of the following areas: team building, medical training (WFR, WSI), working with teenagers, or leading international group travel.
Once we have reviewed qualified applications, we should be in touch to begin the process of scheduling interviews. You must be interviewed in person to be considered for a position. We do our best to schedule interviews while we are out on the road marketing December-March. Often setting up an interview will depend on your flexibility and ability to meet us at a given place and time.
Following an initial wave of interviews in January and February, most job offerings are made by mid March. Interviews after March may be offered as needed.
