Sample itinerary—these will vary for each school group depending on length of trip, desired activities and budget.
Day 1
Arrive in Buenos Aires! Orientation, Spanish lesson, and walking tour
Day 2
Visit the world famous La Boca neighborhood, one of the most colorful and energetic neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and the birthplace of the Tango
Day 3
Travel by bus, north, to Corrientes. Known as the “City of Murals,” Corrientes offers the groups first community service opportunities in the surrounding area
Day 4
Service work and language learning continue. Afternoon soccer game and evening of live music and dancing
Day 5
Arrival in Posadas for Homestays. Meet families, and enjoy a celebratory welcome
Day 6
Service begins. Projects include pouring cement floors for families, and partnering with schools to assist teaching English
Day 7
Projects continue. Evening dance and cultural activities with host families
Day 8
Excursion on the Parana river, stop over to Paraguay, and visit 17th century Jesuit ruins
Day 9
Excursion to Iguazú Falls for an overnight trip to this spectacle of over 270 water falls
Day 10
Adventure days in Mendoza. Depending on the time of year, skiing, snowboarding, and hiking, mountain biking, are all possibilities in this Andean region
Day 11
Adventure days in Mendoza continue
Day 12
Return to Buenos Aires for rest, relaxation, and souvenir shopping
Day 13
Final day or sightseeing and evening featuring dancing, music, and celebratory final evening
Service Projects
- Assisting local families in housing development
- Help build a daycare center or restore school rooms
- Assist local primary school teacher to teach English lessons
Language Immersion
- Experience a homestay in a small Argentinean community
- Practice your Spanish & teach English as you work and play with local students
- Work and play side by side with community members interacting and speaking Spanish
Adventure and Cultural Activities
- Visit spectacular Iguazú Falls
- Skiing, Snowboarding, or mountain biking and hiking
- Learn the Tango!
- Experience the sites and sounds of community and urban life in Argentina
