Sample itinerary—these will vary for each school group depending on length of trip, desired activities and budget.
Day 1
Arrive in Auckland New Zealand, orientation and rest
Day 2
Travel by bus to traditional Maori community for welcome activities
Day 3
Work alongside community members on projects and evening of music/ Dancing
Day 4
Excursion to geothermal wonderland of Central Island and afternoon ropes course
Day 5
Finish projects and prepare for departure
Day 6
Whale watching trip and return to Auckland and flight to Fiji
Day 7
Departure to Fiji, travel by bus to coastal or mountain community for community stay and introductory Sevu Sevu ceremony
Day 8
Projects begin on community center and elementary school
Day 9
Projects continue with an evening of cultural music and dance
Day 10
Projects and an afternoon of crafts and local art
Day 11
Depart community and travel by Ferry to small island resort
Day 12
Snorkeling above fabulous coral reefs/ Scuba option
Day 13
More beach time, windsurfing, and volleyball and evening bonfire on the beach
Day 14
Depart beach stay for hotel near the airport and preparation for departure
