This program offers staff escorted group flights departing from and returning to Miami

LEARN SCIENCE IN ECUADOR THROUGH A FOCUS SERVICE ADVENTURE!

Through partnerships with local NGO’s and a biological research station, students will learn practical skills through the guidance of professional field researchers and scientists.  In the process, we will travel to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.

Itinerary  

Service Projects

  • Earn 25-35 community service hours
  • Work on environmental, reforestation, and wildlife preservation projects
  • Attend seminars on field techniques, tropical ecology, conservation, and biodiversity
  • Participate in field studies of birds, beatles, spectacled bears and ocelots
  • Perform forest biomass increase studies
  • Receive introduction to Spectacled Bear biology and reintroduction programs

Adventure and Cultural Activities

  • Mountain Bike adventure
  • Visit artisans’ homes and lively market towns such as Otavalo
  • Boat tour and snorkeling in the Galapagos Archipelago
