Explore Nicaragua With A Cultural Exchange Summer Service Adventure!

Welcome to our specially designed Nicaragua program for any student who wants to maximize the community service experience by connecting with grassroots organizations and playful and earnest villagers all while exploring a landscape dotted with volcanoes, lakes, and pristine beaches!  You’ll experience the thrills, uncertainty and personal growth that come from immersion in a new culture.  Combine that with the memories you’ll make becoming part of a team contributing to the community and you have a recipe for an unforgettable summer service experience!  Join us on a remarkable journey to assist community development efforts and improve the quality of life for the residents of this truly brilliant culture.

Service Projects

  • Earn 40-50 community service hours!
  • Build water wells and irrigation systems
  • Renovate a rural school building
  • Work on projects to improve community health
  • Teach English in an elementary school
  • Learn how to construct adobe ovens

Adventure and Cultural Activities

  • Explore the historic city of Managua
  • Bargain for goods in the National Artisan Market
  • Kayak and boat around Lake Nicaragua
  • Enjoy beach activities in San Juan del Sur
