Learn Spanish in Panama Through a Language Immersion Service Adventure!

Welcome to Global Works Panama Language Immersion Program where you will experience an adventure that will take you through the Panama Canal to the Kuna Yala indigenous islands to central highland communities in the ‘land of eternal spring' to the amazing surf beaches of the Pac​ific.  Have you always wanted to go to Panama, immerse yourself in the culture, learn the language, and help the local community all while discovering something about yourself in the process? Our language immersion program participants gain confidence in the language through cultural immersion, focusing on a communicative approach to language learning with no classrooms!  Join us for a journey to a place touted as one of the earth’s best eco-tourism destinations with solid infrastructure, amazing biodiversity, and fascinating indigenous cultures!

Itinerary   Accomodations  

Service Projects

  • Earn 35-45 community service hours
  • Interact and assit kids at the Hogar Malambo Orphanage
  • Construct facilities at the Quebrada Guabo School for indigenous populations
  • Teach English and other lessons to Ngobe Bugle school children

Language Immersion

  • Practice your Spanish with Panamanian students
  • Experience a homestay in a small, rural village
  • Engage in leader guided homestay language exercises and activities

Adventure and Cultural Activities

  • Snorkel around the coral reefs of the San Blas Islands
  • Tour Casco Viejo and the Panama Canal
  • Surf on world-class Pacific waves
