PROGRAM ACCOMMODATIONS
LUSAKA ORIENTATION
After flying into the capital city of Lusaka, students are transported to the outskirts of the city to a secure private game reserve with private cabins and group accommodations. Accommodations are dorm style, complete with bunk beds with each room having its own private bathroom. Ample common space is available for ice breakers, and hammocks and a pool provide spots to relax and to cool off after a busy day of orientation activities around Lusaka.

SOUTH LUANGWA NATL PARK AND LOWER ZAMBEZI
These safari lodges are set in an oasis of calm along the banks of the Luangwa and Zambezi rivers. The lodges fit effortlessly into the surrounding riparian habitat with fantastic views and it is not uncommon to see elephants crossing the river and strolling through the camp on a regular basis. The group will stay in private chalets or rooms with private baths. Throughout your stay, cooks will provide delicious meals and snacks from original recipes using fresh ingredients for your meticulously prepared meals. Between safaris and service work, in the midday heat, the hippo friendly swimming pool provides the perfect place to relax and cool off. Hammocks are also scattered around the camp over-seeing the river and the swimming pool.

CHIAWA VILLAGE AND VICTORIA FALLS
For a few nights during the Chiawa Village and Victoria Falls sections, the group will stay in comfortable mobile camps. These ‘camps’ include lock-able dome tents that are comfortably furnished with two single beds with bedding, stand fan and an electric light. The sleeping space, with comfortable camp stretcher-beds (solid in structure, not saggy canvas!), proper mattresses, bed linen, duvets, towels and a small side table with a reading lamp. Private hand basins, a small table and mirrors are set up outside each tent, along with chairs to relax in. There is a separate enclosure with a bucket shower that is filled with water at your chosen temperature when it is needed, and another enclosure with a long drop toilet (but a proper loo seat for comfort). Soap and shower gel is provided in the shower, but you will need to take all other toiletries.
