Global Works school trip tuition is all-inclusive once you’re on the ground: all activities, three meals a day, lodging, transportation, and Global Works trip leaders. Flights are separate, and we can arrange them through our travel partner, Fly My Group.

Global Works plans school trips for middle school and high school groups, and some 5th grade groups.

We recommend starting to plan your school trip 6 to 9 months before you travel. Planning early gives you more choice of dates, destinations, and activities, and gives families more time to enroll.

You’ll work with the Global Works Director of School Group Travel from the first conversation. Complete the Trip Planner and we’ll build an itinerary around your curriculum, dates, group size, and budget. We provide materials to help you promote the trip, and we handle enrollment. Before departure, our trip leaders meet with your chaperones.

We staff school trips at one Global Works leader for every eight students. Our leaders live and travel with the group for the whole program, including overnight, alongside your school’s chaperones.

Every Global Works destination has its own emergency plan and risk assessment. Our leaders are background checked, certified in First Aid and CPR, and trained on how to respond to illness, unexpected situations, and emergencies. Before the group travels, our trip leaders meet with your chaperones so everyone knows the plan and each other.

Yes. Global Works can share our risk management information, insurance information, and references from other schools, help with the forms your administration needs, present to your school board, and host a parent information meeting.

Global Works does. Families enroll online and each traveler gets a Global Works account with their forms, packing list, and travel details. We collect health forms and other required documents, and we send you regular enrollment and forms updates so you always know where your group stands. Families can pay through their account, or the school can pay by invoice.

Every Global Works school trip gets its own program webpage with the itinerary and enrollment instructions, plus a Trip Kit with an interest meeting script, handouts for families, and pre-trip lesson plans on responsible travel, service learning, and more.

Global Works trip leaders are trained in First Aid and CPR. If a student needs to visit a clinic or hospital, a Global Works leader goes with them when possible, and our home office is informed and contacts the family. Chaperones manage students’ prescription medications.

During a Global Works school trip, students and staff send trip journal updates and photos, which we post to our blog and share with families. Families also receive an emergency contact number for the Global Works home office before the trip.

Yes. After a Global Works school trip, each student receives a Community Service Certificate listing their hours and the projects they worked on. We’re also glad to complete any additional paperwork your school or organization needs.
