The order of activities and program offerings in the itinerary are subject to change. 

NOTE: This itinerary represents activities that will take place regardless of the status of the Federal Government Shutdown. If the Shutdown does happen to end within the next week, there is a chance the group can gain access into the US Capitol Building, but we won’t know until closer to November 13th. (11/4/25)

GLOBAL WORKS EMERGENCY CONTACT:

If an emergency arises and a parent needs to contact their student, they should call the Global Works emergency 24-hour on-call number at (720)-279-0527 for immediate assistance. Participants, chaperones, and Global Works leaders also have access to this phone number over the course of their program.

GENERAL COMMUNICATION:

Please contact your chaperone teachers as your first line of non-emergency communication. Global Works staff have a cell phone on them throughout the trip and are in touch with the Home Office. Students may not have 24/7 access to their cell phones during the trip. Global Works is not responsible for lost/damaged cell phones during the program.

AIRPORT DROP OFF / PICK UP: please contact your GUS chaperone team with questions

Message from GUS: For planning purposes, please have your child to the United Airlines terminal at Logan Airport by 6:30 AM on November 11. GUS chaperones will be there to meet you/them at the United Airlines terminal at Logan (Terminal B)!

Drop Off (11/11/25): Drop off at the United Airlines terminal, Logan Airport, by 6:30 AM

Pick Up (11/14/25): Plan to pick up students at Logan Airport by 7:00PM

GROUP FLIGHT E-TICKET:

Participants will receive their E- ticket via email shortly

BAGGAGE FEES:

GUS chaperones encourage students to travel with carry-on luggage only. United Carry-On Luggage Policy. Participants are responsible for all baggage fees! If you have these fees upon departure, please be sure to plan for these same fees on the return flight.

OTHER IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Laptops/Internet Capable Devices and other Electronics Please check with your group chaperones regarding trip policy on cell phone and other device use. Global Works is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property.  

Health We are vigilant in monitoring the health of our travelers. If any medical problems arise, we will notify parents and take appropriate action. All of our staff is certified in both Standard First Aid and CPR, and many hold more advanced certifications such as Advanced First Aid or Wilderness First Responder training. Our leaders also have Emergency Action Plans in place for all locations. Please keep Global Works informed of any pertinent changes to your child’s health or medical care prior to the program start.

Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco Please remember that drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are not permitted. Our leaders reserve the right to provide a speedy trip home if they find evidence of the drug and alcohol rule being violated. 

Tipping All on-program tips for bus drivers, outfitters, restaurants, rafting guides, etc. are included in tuition and will be handled by your trip leader(s). Tips for your Global Works trip leader(s) are not included. Suggested gratuity is $25-$40/day/leader, based on your discretion. Tips can be sent via Venmo, Paypal, or cash in USD.
