Kai Lacek

Kai grew up in the Chicago area, but has since lived in many different parts of the country and internationally. She is fond of hiking, kayaking and paddle boarding, knitting, skiing with her dog, and reading. She has spent a lot of time working in outdoor environmental education, conservation, the National Park Service, and in various school settings. She particularly enjoys experiential learning, and loves to travel in her free time. She has a B.S. in Environmental Science, and studied abroad in Chile, where she had the opportunity to explore quite a bit of Central and South America. After graduating, Kai spent a year in China teaching English and traveled throughout Southeast Asia. Upon returning to the US, she spent time working in New Hampshire, Vermont, Washington, Minnesota, Alaska, and currently resides in Montana. Most recently, she has worked as a Park Ranger in the NPS, and a teacher at a forest school. With Global Works, she looks forward to helping students experience new cultures, languages, foods and sights, and to help immerse students into something different from what they may know.
