Airports and Adventure
We arrived at the airport at 3:30am sleepy but ready for adventure! Security was a breeze although some of us got sunscreen taken away. We were all able to get some sleep on the plane to Austin. In Austin we ate burgers, chicken or pizza. Chicken was definitely the main attraction.
On the second plane ride as we were approaching Puerto Rico we saw all these beautiful tiny beaches with super blue water. Once we landed the humidity hit us immediately and were surrounded by lush jungle. We saw the beach and are excited to swim and explore more tomorrow. Sending love from Puerto Rico!

Our Eggciting Day 2 in Puerto Rico!
Today, we started off our morning bright and early with some eggs for breakfast. After scrambling to get ready, we boarded the bus for eggcelent day in San Juan. The tour guide was full of funny yolks that cracked us up, and we enjoyed our time rolling around the old city. The weather was an 80 degrees sunny side up, so we made sure to drink lots of water.
After our hard walk that left us boiled, we stopped for lunch at (FJAKDK), and enjoyed some delicious food and piña coladas. After eggciting the restaurant, we split up and poached some Puerto Rican souvenirs.
But the day wasn’t over easy yet. After coming back to the Big Yellow House, we spent some time playing volleyball and cards before heading to the beach. The water was eggtremely blue and pretty. A couple showers later, we gathered our eggs in one basket for some rice and chicken. At dinner, Pavan shelled out some encouragement in a lively toast to our hard work tomorrow. To finish the day, we were whisked away by a documentary on the recent hurricane in Puerto Rico. We are eggstatic for our first day of building tomorrow, and will be sure to update you as the week goes on.

Dearest viewer,
We pen this message to renew thy capacitance on our collective voyage and stay in Puerto Rico. Today’s sun rose with a spotless sky, the aroma of cakes wafting through the quarters. Thus we set sail for our day. Our boat creaked as the stony seas raged, but the Siren we hailed spearheaded our voyage steadily. Upon drifting to an atoll ravaged, we began addending to the site using sticks and stones but no broken bones. As fatigue befell us, a kindred spirit emerged: María. She satiated our famished bodies, leaving us inspired for what was to follow.
Accomplished and fulfilled, the sea beckoned our return to sandy shores. This Fountain of Youth invited childlike play as the crew felt the melancholy pangs of future nostalgia abounding. Whilst the memories live on in our fields of thought to be explored once more, we were forced to retreat to our abode. To put the final X on our map, we tidied up, feasted with good cheer, and partook in lighthearted mind explorations til night’s end.
Exuberant to explore the deepest corners of this rich land.

Cement all day!
We began day three in Puerto Rico at 6am. We had a small group of people who got up with us to go watch the sunrise. On the beach we ran up and down for a while and then looked for sea shells. We came back to the big yellow house and played basketball for a while until breakfast came, we had a great breakfast and got on the bus to head to the work sight.

After we got on the bus, we drove to the work sight and began working. Took many breaks and kept working hard. Later we completed our work and went up to Maria’s house and ate lunch we had wings, beans and rice it was really good. After that everyone was exhausted and we went back to the big yellow house.

The third part of our day consisted of the beach and time at the big yellow house. Everyone was tired by this time. After work, we spent about a hour and half at the beach after hard work of day we cooled off in the water and relaxed in the sand. After the beach, we all walked home about a block and got cleaned up and did things like basketball, cards, and bracelet making to kill time before dinner. For dinner we ate chicken and vegetables with a side of plantains sweet and fried plantains, salad, and rolls. After dinner Yara came to the big yellow house to teach a salsa lesson which wrapped up today’s activities. Lastly we all celebrated Rowan’s birthday with ice cream sandwiches.

We woke up this morning to the rain, we made coffees and stuck it in the fridge to get cold, then went to the beach to watch the sunrise. We had a nice stroll through the beach for about an hour while admiring a rainbow before we headed back. Breakfast was served, which was waffles, ham eggs, and fruit. On the side, we enjoyed some iced coffee to get our day started. Then we were ready to start our very last day building.
We took the bus to the construction site. As we arrived, we were excited to see how the cement turned out from the previous days work. The cement was dry, so Angel gave us a demo on how to remove all the wood from the wall. We got to work quickly and were making a lot of progress, until it started raining and we had to go take shelter in the house next-door. We hung out for 15 minutes in the room before getting back to work. At first the plan was to complete 3/4 of the wood being taken off the wall, however we wanted to finish the project we had started. After Maria treated us to a delicious lunch and we played with her daughter Suliana, then we headed back to the big yellow house.
While at the beach, some people enjoyed the sun, while others had fun playing games, volleyball, dug a big hole, and tried gymnastics. After the beach we got ready for our big community dinner. As we were waiting we played 2v3 basketball, and we won! For dinner we had a plate of rice, chicken, rolls, salad, and casitas. We played a game of infection (tag combined with hide and seek) with some of the family members of the house and construction workers. We played a heated game of volleyball against guys versus girls, including everyone. After we all sat up at the table Angel informed us that we used 90 bags of cement which they’ve never seen in all 22 years they’ve worked!!! He also said that other groups have been good, but we are perfect!!! We all took a picture and said our goodbyes, which was very bittersweet. To finish the night we are hanging out and playing games before we go to sleep.

To whom it may concern,
Today, we woke up to eggs and pancakes for breakfast. It was scrumptious. Next, after getting ready, we piled into the bus and went on an hour long ride to zip lining. The road was windy and felt like Transylvania, but we enjoyed each other’s company. After arriving, we were all very happy because the views were fantastic. We suited up and got ready to take flight.
Although there was some wait, many people overcame their fear of heights and zip lining, which was an overall ecstatic experience. Flying over the mountains was an amazing opportunity that others should try in their lifetimes. The drive we took back up the mountain was almost as majestic as the journey down. Not to mention, the burgers we had for lunch were very delicious along with the chocolate cake despite the wait.
The sunset tonight was amazing and we had such a great time on the beach. This was such an amazing trip and we are so grateful for this. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone had a great time at the beach playing volleyball, swimming and having a great time. We had a superb resolution by seeing our past goals and eating the pizza, which was stunning. The overall experience as a group was unique and united. We recapped and reflected towards the end, which really finished off our journey.
