Anthony Smooth

Anthony Smooth is an artist, activist, and current graduate student at Morgan State University. His focus is 20th-century American History, specifically the experiences of African Americans in urban spaces. Anthony Smooth has served the city of Baltimore as a Social Studies teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools and an Aquatics Manager for Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. Born and bred in Baltimore, his research is inspired by the combination of his experiences growing up in and working with the youth of Baltimore City. He intends to combine his passion for history and educating youth to help cultivate more well-rounded critical thinkers aware of their relationship to the past.
