Puerto Rico

Discover the hidden Puerto Rico- friendly small villages, remote tropical beaches, and pristine rainforests on this group travel adventure!

Away from the tourist traps and development of the cities, you will experience an island known for its food, music, dancing, and community action! Puerto Rico is the home of Global Works' first community service trip in 1990, when we helped rebuild family homes devastated by Hurricane Hugo. Many years later, we continue these meaningful and valuable projects, working with families to build dwellings and assisting in much-needed rainforest protection and conservation. Explore the history and wonders of Old San Juan, stay at an environmental center in the heart of El Yunque rainforest, work alongside a youth group on Vieques Island, or take a catamaran excursion and swim in the world famous bioluminescent bay. Where ever you choose to travel with us in Puerto Rico, you are bound to discover the hidden treasures of its people and way of life.
