Why Should I Plan a Trip for my School?

Travel with school-aged students is not only to enjoy a vacation, but to develop global citizenship. The benefits to traveling with a school group are many and varied. Michelle Obama agrees! In a recent interview with CNN, she promotes the importance of student travel to international countries.  Just like students do on a Global Works program, Michelle Obama and her family visit schools and families while abroad. She says that  “we believe that relationships between nations aren’t just about relationships between governments or leaders — they’re about relationships between people, particularly young people.  So we view study abroad programs not just as an educational opportunity for students, but also as a vital part of America’s foreign policy.”
